On 29 November 2023, the project team members from TUD, UNU-FLORES and IICAS met at the TUD campus in Dresden and discussed the research agenda of the FARM project. The onsite meeting was possible due to the visit of Dr. Alim Asamatdinov from IICAS in Dresden within the framework of an ERASMUS+ mobility program. Dr. Asamatdinov introduced the pilot study area and provided an overview on the key stakeholders groups in the Republic of Karakalpakstan. The team also discussed administrative matters and established the methodology for data exchange and analysis, elaborated on the next steps regarding the setup of the junior research group and reviewed the existing databases and knowledge information systems related to water resources management in the study area.
